To add featured images to a slider, we first need to get the Page ID of the pages with featured images.

How to Find the Page ID

  1. On your Dashboard, go to Pages > All Pages
  2. Scroll and open the Editor by clicking Edit
  3. On the address bar, look for the numbers on the link. For example, http://....../wp-admin/post.php?post=1234&action=edit, the 1234 is the Page ID.
To Add Featured Images of Pages

  1. On your Dashboard, go to Genesis > Slider Settings
  2. Scroll down and look for "List which page IDs to include..." box
  3. Add Page ID to list
        Note: Make sure that the Page ID is of a Page with a Featured Image assigned to it.
To Change the Featured Image of the Page

  1. On your Dashboard, go to Pages > All Pages
  2. Navigate to the page you want to update and open the Editor by clicking Edit
  3. Scroll down to the lower right and look for Featured Image
  4. Browse to the image you want to upload as the featured image of the page and click Publish
